Enrich Your Blog

Sometimes writing a good article need some touch in the skin. Putting up some image can be very helpfull in presenting an attractive layout for a post. Finding image isn’t so hard nowadays. Google Images always available to support us. But the challenge is you have to give an appropriate credits for the owner, not mention some doesn’t even allowed the image to be taken without proper written permission.

And when I feel like I don’t want to bother with searching the correct type of licensed image, I ended up in this great tools for blogging. Not only it provides help in providing images, but also it helps me alot in determining the tags, detecting links to related word/topic in the post, and much more.

Meet Zemanta,  a blogging tools that help bloggers to enrich the composition of a blog (post).

Firstly I only use Zemanta to provide me easily with pictures for an entry, but then I found out that there are some other features that help me alot in these area:

• Picking up tag for the post
• Inserting links for specific keyword
• Providing image that are relevant with the content
• etc. (I haven’t explore them all)

I recommend this tool, for you who needs a tool that help you to compose your post quickly. It won’t help you in writing an article, this isn’t a cheating tools. But it sure helps you to do the other tasks, while leaving the thinking part just for you.

As you can see, I’m using the new Wordpress 2.7 but actually Zemanta also support Drupal and MoveableType. There, on the right, a new panel of Zemanta will update itself periodically to provide me with images that are relevant with my writings. On the lower of the compose area, a list of link are ready to be applied. And somewhere not seen on the screen shot, tag panel is already listed with the relevant words also.

Okay, I’m going to do more review later. This is a great tools that keep on excite me with new features.

If you want to do a tryout, this Zemanta also available as a FireFox Addons. If you don’t have FireFox, go get one. With this usefull addons, you don’t need to install the plugins for your wordpress blog. Instead, just install the Zemanta FireFox addons and open your Add New Post page, to see how different it can be.
