Preparing My Trip to Jakarta

Holiday season has arrived. And this time of year is a perfect time to go for a trip, out from the daily working routine. I am currently planning a week full of enjoyment in Jakarta – Indonesia, and I’m definitely sure about what I’m going to say.

What so special with Jakarta?

Well, beside the fact that as the capital of Indonesian Republic you can find anything in Jakarta, another reason is because at this moment, Jakarta is celebrating its 482^nd anniversary. So there are more than “just the usual” happening out there, and I just can’t stay here, holding back; spending my holidays at my usual place and missing all the excitement.

The Official City Agenda lists 41 type of attraction to be enjoyed. Let’s list some that I feel enthusiastic about:

• Indonesia National Art Exhibition
• Monas Festival
• “Pasar Baru” Festival
• Batavia Bazaar
• And the famous “Abang & Noné” Contest (this is some sort of idol show, election of the youngster couple that represents Jakarta)

Okay, it’s going to take some time to fully list all the attractions right now. Whilst I need to think about the accommodation. I do pay some concern about where I am going to stay during the holiday, what the offers are and how much it costs me. And the cheapest info that I managed to gather is this Accor Hotels City Super Sale.
