Looking at the title, I think everyone would be asking about that last word of “microcredit” and what it has to do with a T-Shirt.

I’ve just learned this new concept just now, when I receive a new email from teextile (one of my favorite site where T-Shirt meet great design). They introduce to a new site, named stupidhurts.me which offer a chance for great designer to help others. Well, if you’re not a designer (just like me), you would be surprised to know that you too can help others in the same way.

Stupidhurts.me sells a single one color t-shirt everday. For every shirt sold, $1 goes to the artist and $2 goes towards microcredit. Now, what is micro credit I’ve been mentioning here?

Microcredit is a system that gathers microloans dedicated for those in poverty in order to grow entrepreneurship. Take Kiva.org for example. By raising fund in Kiva.org one can help others that are trying their way to have a better living, for them and their families and the people around them.

So, when you purchase a T-Shirt from stupidhurts.me for $12 (Water Pail Fetcher by Muhammad Mohsin, Oct 21st) – $1 will be given to the artist that designed the T-Shirt, and $2 will be donated to Kiva.org for their fund raising. And if you are an artist, and someone bought your design, then $2 will be given to the microcredit company. Pretty nice, huh?

The guy at teextile had mentioned about this new site is still gathering traffic and trying to improve towards a better existence, so I’m helping through this post.. see if I can help by spreading the words. But for now, I’m casting a vote for this one:

LIFE..! Anyone..!!? on teextile
