My online activities are tightly related to web-browser, because I do a lot of things; not just compose a blog and post it in here. Blog-walking routine, maintain EntreCard for getting traffic, checking the backlink, and so on; requires me a web-browser because I found it as the most convenient way to do my daily tasks.

FireFox is my favourite, but lately I only use it when I really need it the most. Why? Because the number of add-ons I’ve installed really consuming a lot of resources, and this cost my patience big time. Well, that’s until I found this very powerful tool that reduce the resources consumption in a tremendous number.

FireFox Ultimate Optimizer

This 116KB-sized tool, is a must have for those who are working in a heavy-duty environment (just imagine it, I’m opening ThunderBird and FireFox at the same time, and much more running). I’m going to show you an after-before screenshot of my Windows XP Task Manager.

The picture above shows a total of 51Megs of RAM’s consumption. That’s just for me running my FireFox , with one tab opened. Now pay attention to the image below. Which is taken, after I run the tool (and keep in running).

As you can see, the consumption is decreased extremely, to only around 1,6Megs! There’s a huge difference between the before and the after, and I like the result. To be honest, I haven’t dugg really deep into it, but I’ve tried it and I can say that I’m extremely sattisfied because now I don’t need to open different light-weight browser for some simple task. I just stick to FireFox from now on.

Download FireFox Ultimate Optimizer
